Beginning onJune 1, 2025, allTunisians residing abroadtraveling by boat toTunisiawill be required to use theTunisian Customs electronic platform, either through the official websitewww.douane.gov.tnor the mobile applicationSmart Traveller.
🧾 Mandatory Procedures
Two steps are nowmandatory before boarding:
- Request a circulation permit (رخصة الجولان)for vehicles.
- Declare imported goods (التصريح بالبضائع).
These steps, which were previously optional, must be completed online via thee-service > Individualssection of the Customs website. Once the forms are filled out, travelers will receive aQR codeto present at boarding.

Request a Circulation Permit (رخصة الجولان) for Vehicles
At boarding, a customs officer will verify the validity of the permit for the vehicle. If there are no issues, an official document will be issued inless than a minute.
Upon arrival,the waiting time onboard will not exceed five minutes, unless there are bulky goods or items requiring specific declaration.
