The AF Claudia Ferry: A Major Asset for MRE

Starting fromThursday, June 26, you will be able to board the ferryAF Claudia, chartered by AML. This first-generation vessel (which entered service in April 2001) enhances the connections between Algeciras and Tangier Med.

TheAF Claudiais designed to comfortably accommodate passengers and their vehicles. It has a capacity forone thousand passengers. Additionally, its garage offers 2,100 linear meters for heavy vehicles, as well as space for up toseventy-five cars.

Features and Performance of the AF Claudia

This ferry, which flies the Italian flag, measures 186.49 meters in length and 25.60 meters in width. With its two MAN engines, providing a combined power of 18,900 kW, theAF Claudiacan reach a cruising speed of 22 knots.

It will operate theAlgeciras-Tangier Medroute throughout the summer season. Thousands of MREs are heading toMoroccofor their vacations and to reunite with loved ones as part of the Marhaba Operation (from June 15 to September 15).
