
Algeria Ferries: The Ferry Schedule to Marseille Disrupted
Bad news for Algerian travelers and members of the diaspora planning to travel aboard Algeria Ferries ships departing from the port of Marseille. The national shipping company has issued a new statement announcing changes to its summer schedule.
Specifically, these new changes affect the Algeria Ferries crossings to and from the port of Marseille in France.
Algeria Ferries: Here is the new crossing schedule to Marseille
The national passenger shipping company has decided to start by replacing the Marseille-Annaba crossing, originally scheduled for July 2 aboard the Tassili II, with the Marseille-Algiers journey, which will be operated on July 1 at 12:00 by the Badji Mokhtar III. Additionally, the return crossing from Annaba to Marseille, scheduled for July 3 at 12:00, will now depart from the port of Algiers on July 4, 2024, at 16:00, aboard the Badji Mokhtar III.
Algeria Ferries also announces that a new voyage (El Djazair II) has been scheduled for July 3 at 23:00, departing from the port of Oran to Marseille, France. Passengers on the Marseille-Bejaia crossing on July 4 will be redirected to two other crossings, namely:
- Marseille – Algiers, on July 3 at 13:00;
- The Marseille – Algiers voyage scheduled for July 6 at 12:00, aboard the Badji Mokhtar III.

Disruptions for voyages to Genoa and Sète
But that’s not all. Algeria Ferries has also announced that the Bejaia-Marseille crossing on July 5, 2024, has been replaced by the Algiers-Marseille journey on July 7. Similarly, the Oran-Marseille crossing on July 5 has been postponed to July 6 at 15:00.
Furthermore, the Marseille-Oran voyage on July 6 has been moved up to July 5, 2024, at 11:00 and will be operated by the ship El Djazair II. Algeria Ferries also announces other changes to its schedule, including:
- The Sète-Oran voyage, originally scheduled for July 9, 2024, at 17:00, will be delayed to 19:00 on the same day;
- The Genoa-Skikda crossing, scheduled for July 9 at 13:00, will be replaced by the Marseille-Algiers crossing on July 10 at 13:00;
- The Skikda-Marseille service, originally set for July 10 at 14:00, will now be operated on July 8 at 17:00;
- The Oran-Marseille journey, initially scheduled for July 13, will now take place on July 11, 2024, at 10:00.
Algeria Ferries specifies that all passengers affected by these changes will be individually informed before their departure.
