Baleària Launches New Fast Ferry Service Between Tarifa and Tangier City

The Spanish shipping company Baleària is preparing to launch a new line connecting the Andalusian port of Tarifa to Tangier City, using a high-speed ferry. This opening coincides with the start of the Marhaba operation, aimed at welcoming Moroccans residing abroad (MRE).

Starting this Thursday, May 8, Baleària will operate this strategic route with four daily crossings in each direction. The fast ferry Avemar Dos, recently tested successfully at the docks of both ports, will initially ensure the crossing. A second fully modernized fast vessel will soon strengthen this service. The journey will take approximately one hour, with departures scheduled from morning until evening.
