Crossings to Marseille: Algeria Ferries Announces Changes for Thursday, January 30

The national maritime company, Algeria Ferries, has announced changes to its crossing schedule between Algiers and Marseille. These adjustments are due to procedural changes at the Port of Marseille. The port authorities of Marseille continue to favor companies already operating on the maritime routes between France and Algeria. Three companies remain prioritized: Corsica Linea, Algeria Ferries, and Nouris El Bahr Ferries. Port of Marseille has denied entry to the Italian company GNV on the France-Algeria routes. Additionally, the new Algerian company Aures SARL will also not be able to serve Marseille. The port authorities are prioritizing existing companies. This situation highlights the competitive nature of maritime transport in the region, as seen in recent reports by Maritime Executive.
