Algeria Ferries: Change of Schedule for 30 Crossings

Algérie Ferries has decided to terminate its contract with the Italian shipowner of the Moby Dada, following multiple breakdowns experienced by the vessel, which was supposed to strengthen the national fleet this summer. This decision has led to significant changes in the company’s sailing schedules.

Furthermore, in a new statement released on Sunday, August 25, 2024, Algérie Ferries announced a revised schedule for its crossings to Italy, Spain, and France.

After ending the service of the Moby Dada, Algérie Ferries unveiled a new program concerning the scheduled crossings between August and early September 2024. The current month’s schedule is as follows:

  • The Marseille – Skikda crossing, originally scheduled for August 27, has been postponed to August 29 at 4 PM, aboard the vessel El Djazair II;
  • The Skikda – Genoa trip on August 28 has been rescheduled to August 30, 2024, at 5 PM;
  • The Algiers – Alicante crossing on August 28 will now operate at 11 PM instead of 5 PM;
  • The Genoa – Skikda crossing on August 29, 2024, will be replaced by the Marseille – Annaba trip on September 2 at 4 PM;
  • The Oran – Marseille crossing on August 29, 2024, has been postponed to September 1 at 4 PM;
  • The Skikda – Marseille trip on August 30 will be replaced by Annaba – Marseille, scheduled for September 3 at 3 PM;
  • The Marseille – Bejaia trip on August 30, 2024, has been postponed to the following day, August 31, at 5 PM;
  • The Marseille – Oran trip on August 31 has been rescheduled to September 2 at 5 PM;
  • The Bejaia – Marseille crossing on August 31 will be operated on September 1 at 5 PM, aboard the vessel El Djazair II.

The national maritime carrier has also planned modifications to its schedule for September 2024. These changes will affect 20 trips departing from Skikda, Oran, and Algiers, heading to Alicante, Marseille, and Genoa.

Additionally, these modifications will apply to crossings scheduled until September 9, 2024. Indeed, this new program will be operated by the two vessels El Djazair II and Tassili II.
