Nouris Elbahr Ferries postpones the launch date of its bookings

The new Algerian shipping company Nouris Elbahr Ferries is preparing to commence its crossings between Algeria and Europe. Initially scheduled for Saturday, October 5, 2024, the official launch of this competitor to Algeria Ferries has now been postponed.

In a statement released on Saturday, October 5, Nouris Elbahr Ferries announced the delay in the launch date for reservations for these crossings. Originally set for this Saturday, the opening has now been pushed back. The company has not yet provided a new date but assures that customers will be informed in due course.

“Due to certain necessary procedures and insurance regulations required to ensure your protection, our operations are temporarily affected. As a result, the start of reservations has been delayed,” the shipping company stated on itsFacebookpage. “We are actively working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible,” added Nouris Elbahr Ferries, which has not indicated a new date for the launch of reservations.

The new shipping company Nouris Elbahr Ferries announced on Thursday, October 3, the opening of ticket reservations. Set to serve Algiers, Bejaïa, and Oran to Marseille in France, as well as routes to Alicante in Spain, the company has not yet specified the date of its first crossing. The arrival of its ship, the Cracovia, at the port of Algiers last week had suggested an imminent launch of its operations.

“We are pleased to announce that ticket reservations are officially open today through our partner, Zaatcha Voyages,” the company stated on its Facebook page, inviting customers to book directly with the Zaatcha Voyages agency located in Kouba (Algiers). Prices start at 14,061 dinars.

Nouris Elbahr Ferries also clarified that reservations would be available “very soon” on its own platform. In the meantime, the company has formed a partnership with the B2B booking platform Foundoq.com, allowing travelers to book their tickets through partner agencies.
