This summer marks the peak period for ship traffic. The national maritime passenger transport company intends to mobilize all its resources to ensure a stable and efficient schedule during the summer season.

To achieve this, Algérie Ferries has scheduled a total of 325 crossings to France, Italy, and Spain, aiming to accommodate 516,000 passengers during the summer holidays. This was announced by the General Director of the maritime transport group GATMA in a statement to public television.

Additionally, beyond the 516,000 passengers, the 325 crossings will also facilitate the transport of a total of 140,000 vehicles, the majority of which are destined for France from Algerian ports. For this route, a total of 182 trips have been scheduled to Marseille and Sète, allowing for the transport of 270,000 passengers and 80,000 vehicles.

For reference, the national maritime carrier has announced the launch of a new promotion offering discounts of up to 60% on travel ticket prices for the summer season of 2024. This is a new offer specifically for Algerian citizens living abroad.
