Winter Program: Baleària Expands Its Network with Routes to Algiers and Oran

Baleària enters into direct competition with Algérie Ferries. After many years of servicing the port of Mostaganem from Valencia, the Spanish company is finally taking the plunge and deciding to strengthen its presence in Algeria with new routes.

Indeed, Baleària has issued a new statement announcing the launch of several new services aimed at providing a wide range of options for travelers between Spain and Algeria.

It is worth noting that the Spanish shipping company previously announced the enhancement of its crossing schedule from Valencia to Mostaganem with a third service. It now operates this maritime route with three crossings per week.

Furthermore, in its latest announcement, the company revealed that starting from October 18, 2024, it will offer a new connection from the port of Valencia to Algiers. Initially, it will operate this route with one sailing per week, which will later increase to three crossings per week as it connects Oran and Valencia.

To further bolster its presence in Algeria, the shipping company plans to launch, for the first time, a service connecting Barcelona and Algiers starting January 15, 2025. It will maintain two weekly connections to Valencia: one fixed from Algiers and another alternating weekly between Oran and Mostaganem.

  • From Valencia to Mostaganem and Oran: starting at 271 euros;
  • From Valencia to Algiers: starting at 283 euros;
  • From Barcelona to Algiers: starting at 291 euros.
