The port’s growth is not limited to exports. The total volume of goods traffic reached2.414 million tons, marking a 20% increase year-on-year. This rise is particularly attributed to:

  • Container Traffic:A 31.69% growth in containerized goods.
  • Passenger Traffic:The number of travelers increased by39.87%, reaching 79,356 individuals. This significant influx is attributed to the arrival of new shipping companies and their competitive rates.

Beyond traffic figures, thePort of Algiershas also enhanced its efficiency. The average stay of ships at the dock decreased from 4.49 days to3.44 days, representing a reduction of just over a day. This performance is the result of several factors:
