
Logistics in Morocco: Green Light for the AMDL 2025 Action Plan
On Thursday, January 9, 2025, Mr. Abdessamad KAYOUH, Minister of Transport and Logistics, chaired a pivotal meeting of the Board of Directors of theMoroccanAgency for Logistics Development (AMDL) at the Ministry’s headquarters. This session, focused on thelogistics development in Morocco for 2025, provided an overview of the Agency’s achievements for 2024 and approved the action plan and budget for the year 2025.
2024 Review: Progress in Logistics Development in Morocco
In 2024, the AMDL intensified its efforts to develop logistics zones, a key infrastructure to boost the sector. The year concluded with the securing of 200 hectares of land aimed at realizing the ambitious program to create 750 hectares of logistics zones by 2028. This project relies on synergy between the public and private sectors.
Launch of New Projects in Several Regions
These advancements facilitated the initiation of several strategic projects. In 2025, work on the development of logistics zones in Fès and Aït Melloul will continue, while new projects will emerge inCasablancaSouth, Kénitra, and Béni Mellal. Concurrently, efforts will be made to develop similar infrastructures in the Southern provinces, particularly in Guelmim, Laâyoune, and Dakhla.
Growth of Private Investments Driven by the New Charter
The past year also witnessed a surge in private investments in the logistics sector, fueled by the new investment charter. An amount exceeding 1.1 billion dirhams has been approved to finance several private projects.
Support for Businesses: An Ambitious Program for 2025
These Advancements Have Enabled the Launch of Several Strategic Projects
For 2025, the AMDL plans to launch a new edition of its logistics support program for businesses. This program will provide technical and financial assistance to enhance competitiveness, facilitate digital transformation, and improve the environmental performance of the sector.
An Investment Budget of 515 Million Dirhams
The Board of Directors approved an investment budget of 515 million dirhams to implement the action plan for 2025.

Finally, the session concluded with a message of loyalty and allegiance to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in recognition of His ongoing support for thelogistics development in Morocco for 2025and the strategic initiatives undertaken in this field.
