
The Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs of Tunisia, Mr. Rabii Al Mejidi, visited the commercial port of Sfax – Sidi Youssef today to welcome the vessel « Al Mahid, » recently acquired by the new Kerkennah transport company. During his visit, he closely examined the port facilities and made key recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.
Section 1: Arrival of the Vessel « Al Mahid »
The minister observed the docking of the new vessel « Al Mahid » at berth 11 of the port, assessing the situation and the associated safety equipment.
Section 2: Inspection of Port Facilities
The visit extended to the port infrastructure and berth 8 on the northern side, where the minister closely examined the safety equipment and issued recommendations to strengthen existing measures.
Section 3: Recommendations for Improvement
Mr. Rabii Al Mejidi strongly urged the continuation of efforts to enhance security, safety, and cleanliness in the public port area. He emphasized the importance of security and safety committees in developing indicators and improving port performance.
Section 4: Improvement of Working Conditions
The minister also advocated for improvements in working conditions for the railway station staff, calling for the acceleration of the development of adjacent spaces, cleaning, protection, and maintenance of unused equipment.
