Morocco Feedering Strengthens Its Fleet with a New Container Ship
The establishment of a strong and competitive merchant navy fleet, as called for by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, May God Glorify Him, during the celebration of the 48th anniversary of the Green March on November 6, 2023, is indeed underway.
Indeed, Maroc Feedering, a major player in maritime transport in Morocco, has just announced the acquisition of a new container ship registered under the Moroccan flag, named “Denis A,” with an investment of 10 million US dollars.
The new container ship has a capacity of 1,440 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) and is equipped with 174 reefer plugs for transporting refrigerated goods. This modern vessel meets the highest international standards for safety and operational efficiency.

“The new ship will be dedicated to coastal shipping between the ports of Tanger Med and Casablanca, with a possible extension of the service to the port of Agadir. It will provide a competitive, sustainable, and efficient logistics solution for the transport of goods at the national level, thus avoiding the costly and polluting road transport that poses a high risk of accidents. The new service we are launching with a ship under the Moroccan flag will significantly enhance the logistical competitiveness and decarbonization of our exports,” announced Mr. Mohamed El Jaouadi, General Director of Maroc Feedering.
This new vessel will strengthen Maroc Feedering’s position as a leader in maritime transport in Morocco while contributing to improved connectivity between the country’s main ports. With the launch of “Denis A,” Maroc Feedering once again demonstrates its commitment to operational excellence, environmental sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
