Once again, the national shipping company is making changes to its summer schedule. Algérie Ferries, which is struggling to operate its crossings to Europe normally, has unveiled a new program that includes the postponement of several voyages.

Indeed, in a new statement released online on the evening of August 5, 2024, Algérie Ferries announced the postponement of its crossings to Alicante, Genoa, and Sète.

Algérie Ferries: New Changes to the August 2024 Schedule

In its latest announcement, the National Company of Maritime Transport (ENTMV) has made further adjustments to the schedules of its crossings to three countries: France, Italy, and Spain. These changes are as follows:

• The Alicante – Oran crossing on August 6, 2024: originally scheduled for 7 PM, it will now be operated at 11 AM aboard the El Djazair II ship;
• The return journey Oran – Alicante on August 7 has been postponed to August 11 at 10 PM aboard the Tassili II;
• The Alicante – Oran crossing on August 8 has been moved up to August 7 at 7 PM;
• The Oran – Alicante crossing on August 9 will now take place on August 11 at 10 PM aboard the Tassili II;
• The Alicante – Algiers journey on August 10 has changed its destination to become Alicante – Oran on August 12 at 7 PM aboard the Tassili II ship.

Additionally, the ENTMV has decided to modify its schedule for crossings to Genoa. The following crossings are affected:

• The Skikda – Genoa journey on August 8, 2024: the destination has changed to become Algiers – Marseille, on the same day at 6 PM;
• The Genoa – Skikda crossing on August 9: the destination has changed to become Marseille – Skikda on August 12 at 2 PM aboard the El Djazair II ship.

What About Journeys to France?

For reasons beyond its control, Algérie Ferries has made changes to its schedule for the ports of Marseille and Sète as follows:

• The Oran – Sète journey on August 9, 2024, will now depart from Oran to Marseille on August 11 at 10 AM;
• The Marseille – Skikda journey on August 7 has been postponed to August 12 at 2 PM;
• The Skikda – Marseille crossing on August 10 has been postponed to August 13, 2024, at 3 PM;
• The Marseille – Oran crossing will now take place on August 14 at 2 PM instead of August 12;
• The Oran – Sète journey on August 15 will now operate at 5 PM instead of 3 PM;
• The Sète – Oran journey on August 16: the schedule has changed from 5 PM to 8 PM aboard the EL Djazair II ship.
