The net result of the National Ports Agency (ANP) reached 105 million dirhams (MDH) in 2023, marking a remarkable increase of 123.4% compared to the previous year.

The operating result also showed a spectacular rise of nearly 511.4%, amounting to 456 MDH, as reported by the ANP in a statement regarding its financial results as of December 31, 2023.

In terms of revenue, it increased by 20.1% to over 2.5 billion dirhams (MMDH), according to the same source, which also noted that the added value reached 1.78 MMDH, representing a growth of 28.3% compared to 2022, resulting in an integration rate of nearly 70.9%.

The ANP also specified that its self-financing capacity rose to 939 MDH, up 7.4% from 2022.

Regarding activity indicators, there was a reported increase in the activity level of the ports managed by the Agency, which rose by 1.4% to 88.4 million tons (Mt) in 2023.

This development is attributed to the rise in container import traffic (+10.7%), the increase in fertilizer export traffic (+20.5%), as well as the decline in coal import traffic (-6.2%) and phosphate export traffic (-18.4%).
