Algeria Ferries: Cancellations of Crossings and Discontent

Last week, the maritime company Algérie Ferries announced the cancellation of its scheduled crossings on January 5 and 7, including those connecting Marseille to the port of Annaba. This decision was made due to unfavorable weather conditions for navigation.

In a statement released online on Sunday, January 7, 2024, the maritime company elaborated on the reasons for the cancellation of these crossings, which were caused by adverse weather conditions. Furthermore, Algérie Ferries reminded its travelers that they are invited to take one of the following upcoming crossings:

  • The Marseille – Oran crossing, operated by the Tassili II, scheduled for January 9, 2024;
  • The journey from Marseille to Skikda, scheduled for January 15;
  • The Algiers – Marseille journey, scheduled for January 11;
  • The crossing from Oran to Marseille, scheduled for January 14, 2024;
  • And finally, the journey from Algiers to Marseille, scheduled for January 15, 2024.
