Baggage Transport: Algeria Ferries Warns Its Travelers

As the summer season approaches, the demand for boat travel is increasing. Many Algerians are turning to the services of Algeria Ferries to return to their country. Recently, the national shipping company has reported some chaos and inconveniences on board its voyages. In this context, Algeria Ferries issued a new statement on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, warning its passengers against several practices: transporting more than two pieces of hand luggage per passenger; stacking and cramming luggage onto vehicles; removing seats from vehicles to use the space for luggage transport; attaching trailers to vehicles for luggage transport; and transporting luggage from the garage to the upper decks after boarding. Furthermore, the national shipping company indicates that strict measures will be taken against travelers who do not comply with its instructions. With the increase in maritime traffic between Algeria and Europe during this summer season, many traders are also traveling aboard Algeria Ferries vessels. These merchants often cross the Mediterranean with large shipments of goods intended for resale, causing chaos on board, especially during boarding.
