The Ministry of Equipment and Water has…
The Ministry of Equipment and Water has issued a warning for Thursday, January 30, 2025. Strong swells are expected along the AtlanticMoroccancoasts, particularly between Cape Spartel (Tangier) and Tarfaya.
Waves could reach heights of 4.0 to 6.5 meters. These maritime conditions, combined with strong currents from the northwest, will be particularly hazardous. The areas most affected will be those located between ElJadidaand Safi, especially during the morning and afternoon.
The high tide will lead to a significant rise in water levels. The sea level could fluctuate between 2.90 and 3.90 meters around 3:30-4:00 AM and between 3:50-4:30 PM.
Improvement is expected starting Friday, January 31, for the northern coasts. The southern regions should return to normal conditions by Saturday, February 1.
The authorities are urging caution. They advise fishermen, boaters, and maritime professionals to postpone their activities at sea until the situation stabilizes.
