
Morocco: Maritime Days 2023-2024 on Shipbuilding
The Higher Institute of Maritime Studies and its Student Association (ADEIC) organized the first edition of Maritime Days for the academic year 2023/2024, under the theme: “Shipbuilding: Presentation of the Challah Vessel Project” Maritime Morocco.
This edition was led by Mr. Khalid SBAI, the General Director of PETROCAB, and Mr. Hamid QMICH, the Technical Director at PETROCAB.
Participants in this seminar included students from Nautical Sciences and Naval Engineering, students from the Engineering Cycle in Shipbuilding and Maintenance, as well as students from the Master’s program in Maritime Business Management at ISEM.
On This Occasion, The Director of ISEM, Mr.
On this occasion, Mr. Mohamed BRIOUIG, the Director of ISEM, opened the session by introducing the seminar facilitators and welcoming all participants. He emphasized the significant role played by ISEM graduates in actively contributing to the development of the national maritime strategy implemented under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
During this seminar, the facilitators shared the extensive experience of PETROCAB regarding the construction project of the oil tanker Challah by the South Korean shipyard Dae Sun Shipbuilding & Engineering. This project was successfully completed despite being carried out during the COVID period, which imposed specific health constraints. This success was the result of the resilience and determination of the Petrocab team in executing this project.
On the sidelines of the discussions during this event, Mr. Khalid SBAI expressed PETROCAB’s commitment to continue supporting ISEM students by sponsoring a number of students throughout their academic journey.
