
Morocco Hosts World Maritime Aid Day 2023
03.07.2023 Rabat, June 27, 2023 – The Kingdom of Morocco, in partnership with the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation, is hosting the main event celebrating World Marine Aids to Navigation Day in Tangier on July 4 and 5, 2023, to which national members, associates, and industry representatives of the IALA are invited.
On the first day, a technical conference is scheduled to discuss marine navigation aids and their role in maritime safety, as well as the key technological advancements related to this field, featuring presentations from national and international experts and officials. The conference will be accompanied by an exhibition showcasing the main operators involved in this theme, along with industrial members of the IALA.

The program of this event also includes presentations highlighting the importance of preserving and promoting lighthouse heritage. The day will conclude with a visit to the Cap Spartel lighthouse, in recognition of its designation as the « Heritage Lighthouse of the Year 2023 » globally.
The second day of this event will be dedicated to site visits, including technical tours of the Maritime Traffic Monitoring Center at the Strait of Gibraltar, a visit to the Tangier Med Port, and a visit to the Tangier City Marina. Additionally, several cultural visits will take place in the heart of Tangier.
