As part of the new guidelines issued by the Ministry of Transport in Algeria, significant restrictions will be implemented at the Port of Algiers during the peak summer season. FromJune 15 to September 15, 2025, certain types of vehicles willnot be allowed to boardon the maritime routeMarseille↔️Algiers, which is primarily operated byCORSICA linea.
The vehicles affected by this temporary ban include:
- Export vehicles, new or less than three years old,
- Vans,
- Passenger transport vehicles with more than 7 seats.
This measure aims to streamline port operations in Algiers during a period characterized by high traffic. Itdoes not applyto other Algerian ports:BéjaïaandSkikdawill remain fully operational for all types of vehicles.
For passengers who have already booked with a vehicle affected by the ban, the company offers two solutions:
- Afree modificationof the reservation to depart from or toBéjaïaorSkikda,
- Or acancellation with a full refund, without penalties.
Travelers are encouraged to consider these new provisions to better organize their crossings this summer.
