Skhira Port: A Strategic Oil Hub in the Maghreb
The port of Skhira is located at 34° 19’ 05’’ N; 10° 08’ 40’’ E (Tunisia), approximately 350 km from the capital, Tunis. It features significant infrastructure for the storage of crude oil and refined petroleum products, as well as loading and unloading pipelines.
Its port infrastructure consists of 3 berths on Ducs d’Albe:
- 1 berth for phosphoric acid measuring 150 meters in length and 8.7 meters in depth
- 2 oil berths each measuring 300 meters in length and 15 meters in depth, capable of accommodating oil tankers of up to 120,000 tons.
